Just a thought...

"The difference between a life with or without a Savior echo's a choice of an external heart or an everlasting heartbeat..."

Let It Be

Deep in the sand
You’ve left your footprints to follow
Somewhere they’ve faded
It’s harder to swallow

In order to follow
The path of the Potter
I need to walk
And swim in the water

The waves are rough
And each one more incapable to bear
In my heart, deep in my soul
I know you are there

If I turn left, right
Or even behind
The path is so easy
Yet hard to rewind

For you call me
To go straight ahead
Just like the father
Who rests his child to bed

The waves will collapse
The storm will scream thunder
Though I’m drowning in fear
You’ll pull me from under

One day the waters
Will lay at rest
And ill realize that always
Your plans are the best

So Lord let me follow
The plan set for me
Whatever you have stored
I will ‘let it be’

Father to Son

Ive heard these stories
Of all His miracles and glory
Dad, Who is this man?
That they say can make the water stand
It all seems like just too much
As he heals the weak from his touch
For people come to stand and sing
In awe of this mighty King
Dad, One day I will see
What this man has done for me
The dad bent on his knees to keep it clear
As he whispered in his little ones ear
Son, next time you fall sleep and dream
Ask Him to show you all of what He means
And he said…
Son, grab my hand and hold it tight
Im gonna show you what I did one night
See the heights of these vast mountains
The water that flows like raging fountains
The stars that ever shine so bright
Sun and moon that hold the light
The mysteries held within the sea
Im gonna show what they mean to me
All the movement of the wind
Creatures at play around the bend
May it all remind you of what Ive done
And how ive sent my only son
For little one I came and died for you
So that all your wondrous dreams come true
Now that you can see
Believe… and follow me

The Potter

As the sun rises and shines so bright
Lets this remind you that He is the light

Trees grasp new colors and provide shade
This is memory of His love that won't fade

Laying in lilies amongst the high grass
The wind whispers of His promise that won't pass

Even the simplest forms such as air
He placed His breath to show of His care

Thunder and lightning that radiate the sky
He is your comfort when you wonder why

Snowflakes fall softly and land on your face
This is a token of His endless grace

When the waves crash every second, minute, hour
He will amaze you of His mighty power

As your toes dig through the soft cool sand
Always entrust He knows where you'll land

As the storm strengthens and opens with rain
The waters will fade and take the pain

As He watched over us nailed on the cross
He knew there was much more to gain than was lost

In effort He gathers the clay and the water
For we are the clay and He is our potter

Cross the Line

Gazing out this window
Staying up too late
I can see the bright light shining
Near the old man at the gate

With every road attempted
And every idea tried
I sat here at the window
Late that night and cried

With one way left to travel
I pushed aside the mess
And thought about the old man
Nothing left i guess

Before I reached the old man
I stopped and turned around
As i made my way back
I thought i heard a sound

Then the old man spoke
And already knew my name
I stopped dead in my tracks
Never to be the same

For what the old man told me
Was a story far greater than mine
About a man who saved the earth
And also left a line

What He stated seemed bold
But pure simplicity
That a man came and died
And did it just for me

He said he left this line
As a better place to be
A future for eternity
If i would open my eyes and see

Once i crossed this line
My sins would wash away
I would have no more worries
And i could forever stay

I thought what left to lose
Except maybe some time
All my sins would be no more
As if i pressed rewind

I took him for his word
And accepted his humble offer
I know i dont deserve this
This invitation from the father

So i crossed the line
Excepting something great
But nothing seemed to change
Ill take some time and wait

Wait and wait i did
And nothing seemed to change
I thought there was more to this
Some things to rearrange

Then the old man told me
I need to live and wait
For one day he will come
And open up the gate

Time comes and goes
As i peak into the gate
But until my God comes
Ill hold my cross and wait
